Tselepos Mantinia Moschofilero 2016
Member Review by zufrieden:
The Tselepos Mantinia Moschofilero 2016 presents light straw yellow, and effuses yellow garden flowers, muted stone fruit (uncut) and a hint of cake spice. Very controlled and sturdy for more common variety Moschofilero; entry is of generic tropical fruit with elegance and good acidity heavy viscosity notwithstanding. Medium to long finish. A surprising find in this variety. Bravo. I'll take another bottle or two. 91.

The 2008 MOSCHOFILERO is light and friendly, easy going and charming and very fruity on opening. Thatandrsquo;s not all there is, though. It has a certain welcome minerality to it and earthy demeanor andmdash; relatively speaking andmdash; that emerges with a little aeration. There is very good underlying acidity. As is typical, it will be best drunk fresh and young, the type of wine that loses a little every 6andndash;12 months as time goes on. Drink nowandndash;2011.

Light golden color. Tseleposandrsquo;s offering shows a floral-laden nose of rose petal and citrus. There is excellent acidity on the palate, with notes of green apple and fresh lime. All together, I could describe the style of this wine as falling somewhere between Pinot Grigio and Riesling, and thus would recommend it to fans of either.

A fantastic Greek wine and the #1 pick on a Greek wine tasting panel in the New York Times.

Very crisp, with an enticing floral aroma and flavors of green peach, spice and melon. The fresh finish features apricot and citrus. Drink now.

An effusively aromatic white, featuring rich fruit flavors of ruby grapefruit. Meyer lemon and red peach. The finish features notes of Asian five-spice. Drink now through 2002.

The fruit in this moschofilero feels almost honeyed, the citrus notes heading toward pineapple, but the acidity is just as robust, giving the wine a succulence that makes it mouthwatering. The herbal, verbena-like note contributes to its fresh feel, suggesting a pairing with a Vietnamese-spiced fish.
