Sancerre Monts Dames Francois Cotat 2008
Winemaker's Notes:
Fruit for this delicious wine comes from the Casablanca and Curicó Valleys. This is a wine with extremely attractive tropical nose. It is a fresh, crispy, light and happy wine. Pale yellow and 100% fermented in stainless steel, this wine sees no oak ageing. Selected grapes picked from the cool Casablanca climate together with the elegance of the fruit picked from the foothills of the Andes in Curicó valley are used to make this wine. Enjoy as young as possible. It is very good as appetizer and goes well with white meat. Drink it with fresh salads, fish or simply as its own. Perfect as wine by the glass.

Coconut and vanilla tones on the nose, which would imply American oak. Loads of red and black fruit on the nose. Baking spices. Some flinty tones. Some coconut on the palate as well. It's richly textured and has bright acid. Some bitter cocoa. The dark red and purple fruits on the palate turn to cranberry and pomegranate on the back end. It's complex and rich.
