Roth Cabernet Sauvignon Alexander Valley 2004

Winemaker's Notes:

Winemaker's Notes: Roth Cabernet Sauvignon is an expression of its origins. The 2004 vintage delivers exhibits the deep fruit and firm tannins characteristic of Alexander Valley's southern sub-appellation—black cherry and plum characters, accented by hints of licorice that carry over the long finish. Aged 18 months in French oak barrels and gently clarified to preserve varietal character, this hand-crafted, fruit-forward wine is ready to drink upon release. 5,100 cases produced. A Note About the Winery: Roth is a family owned producer, dedicated to crafting Cabernet Sauvignon that is reflective of its origins. Each vintage is made from select vineyard sites within the southern most tip of the Alexander Valley AVA. This "sub-appellation's" abundant hillsides, diverse elevations, aspects and slopes provide a wide range of micro-climates from which Cabernet Sauvignons of intensity and concentrated varietal character are produced. Vintage Notes: Warm temperatures in March led to an early budbreak, but a cooler spring drew out the time during bloom, giving us excellent conditions for berry set. Cool, foggy mornings in July gave way to a warm August and September. Yields were small, with dense, intense flavors. Harvest lasted from September 10 to October 16. Technical Notes: Appellation: Alexander Valley Varietal: 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc Alcohol: 14.6% Aging: 18 months in French oak barrels * Also Available: Roth 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon 1.5L Magnum- $60.00 Return to Roth wine list
