Rioja Bordon Crianza 2004

External Review by WineExpress.com:

From a winery with a history going back 100 years comes an extremely delicious and quite modern style Rioja. This Crianza from the Bodegas Franco Espanolas is a blend of 80% Tempranillo and 20% Garnacha with rich flavors and a compelling spiciness. The grapes are ferment in traditional wooden vats and the must stirred to bring out color and intensity. The fermented wine is then aged for 18 months in New American white oak barrels and then an additional 6 months in bottle as required by D.O. guidelines. This is one of the fast disappearing winners from the stellar 2004 vintage. Don't miss it!
