Red Diamond Red Zinfandel

Member Review by tommyvino:

This wines classification is kind of weird being a Non Vintage California Zinfandel made by a Washington State Winery. The color is medium to deep purple red with moderate aromas of baking spice, cherry and strawberry. This zin is medium dry, medium heavy bodied, with medium astringent tannins, and a long finish. The wine though flavorful is fairly straightforward with bing cherry, cranberry, and tiny hint of black pepper on the palate. This is a simple everyday Zinfandel which is well made. 2.5/5

Red Diamond:
Red Diamond is a brand of wines produced in Washington State since 2003. The value driven wines were initially only marketed to restaurants, but were such a success, that they expanded to retail offerings in 2004. The wines are available in Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Chardonnay. They continue to be some of the most popular American restaurant and bar wines, offering good bang-for-buck quality.
