Luiano Sangiovese Toscana IGT 2008

Winemaker's Notes:

This Sangiovese is the youngest born of the Luiano family of wines. It is a wine created by Antonio Palombo to reflect his daughter’s personality: young, red, Tuscan and fresh. The wine is obtained by a careful selection and vinification of Sangiovese Grapes obtained from the newly planted vineyards of the estate. It’s vinification comes from a fermentation lasting fifteen days in casks of stainless steel with a controlled temperature of about 28°. In this phase, the flavor of the grape is enhanced with an intense re-pumping activity designed to punch down the cap of pressed vines. It is a young wine that refines for twelve months in vats before being bottled. It is best consumed within two to three years of release.

Floral aromas of rose and violet and fruity notes of cherry and raspberry fill the nose. The velvety mouthfeel gives way to fruity flavors with a long finish.
