Langoa Barton 2013
Winemaker's Notes:
93–95 Points, Wine Enthusiast (Barrel Sample): "With delicious acidity, this is a fine wine. It has taken advantage of the fruitiness of the year without burdening the wine with too much tannic structure. The result is fine balance." 90-93 Points, Wine Spectator (James Molesworth): "The flesh sets this apart from the pack, with layers of black cherry, black currant and plum skin lined with well-integrated apple wood and briar notes. The long, muscular finish maintains the dark profile. Rock-solid."

Editorial Reviews for Langoa Barton
Tight on the nose with mineral, shoe polish, leather and nutty wood aromas that are fresh and precise. This is tight and yet surprisingly open, though thus is more about structure than fruit today. It shows fine freshness and good clarity gaining red currant notes on the palate in a rather austere way, turning to black currant on the back end, and through the moderately long finish. Very typical of L-B. 93pts
External Reviews for Langoa Barton

I like the pure and clean fruit with medium to full body integrated tannins and juicy finish. A sliced lemon and dark fruit undertone. Long subtle finish. James Suckling.

The Langoa Barton is a blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon 30% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc picked between 2 and 14 October. It has a light gravelly bouquet with blackberry and iodine with a tang of seaweed. The palate has a harmonious entry with fine tannins a laid-back Langoa that is simple but elegant. This is a simple easy drinking Langoa to enjoy over the next 10 years. Tasted April 2014. Neal Martins Wine Journal.

This shows a solid core of fruit here with a wonderful asphalt berry and mineral character. Full body with excellent tannins fruit and acid balance. Impressive. The extra dose of cabernet sauvignon at 85% and no cabernet franc makes this wine exceptional for the vintage. James Suckling.
