J. Bookwalter Red Blend Red Mountain Protagonist 2006

Winemaker's Notes:

The wine’s aromatics show a distinct and complex earthy and dustiness coupled with the red and dark fruits of black cherries, red and black currants accented by resin, tar and copious sweet spices. The wine enters the palate sweet, has a generous mid palate and shows flavors of dried figs, plums and chocolate covered cherries followed by a toasty, signature Red Mountain earthy minerality. The wine has a long finish that is layered with rich, fine grained tannins. Cellar 8–12 years.

Big, smooth and loaded with smoky oak, this substantial Bordeaux blend comes at you with lots of cherry, cassis, licorice and dark chocolate. It's muscular and authoritative, with Red Mountain minerality. Wine Enthusiast. A Proprietary Blend wine from Washington in USA. 2006 Bookwalter Protagonist 750ml
