The wine was aged for 24 months in French oak barrels (95% new) after the winemaker determined this final blend. The wine shows an inky black and ruby red color. On the nose the 2007 Marlstone exudes complex aromas of wild blackberry, plum and black licorice with lively notes of cigar box and brown spice. On the palate it's concentrated and rich, with supple tannins. More wild berry and bold spice flavors carry through to a lengthy finish with velvety notes of mocha. This is a big, over-stuffed Cab that will cellar nicely for 5-8 years. Limited!
