Drank this with a pasta/parmesan chicken sausage/broccoli dish. Paired excellently. Very drinkable and smooth. A little on the fruity side.

It's young. But cheap and still good.

Rating: 86/100 - As reviewed by Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine (www.cgcw.com) in the October 2010 issue. This wine's first scents of ripe black cherries signal a touch more depth than its flavors deliver. But, that said, this wine comes with a medium-full body, an invitingly supple quality as it enters and a firmer feeling at the finish. Along the way, it has more than its fair share of fruit and mass to be entirely priceworthy.Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine aging recommendation: Drinkable now. Unlikely to improve with further aging.

"Soft and open-textured with vivid red plum and berry flavors on a polished frame, lingering nicely. Drink now. 8,000 cases made." (Dec. 15, 2008) This elegant medium-bodied wine offers aromas of cherry and spice. On the palate the wine gives flavors of berries, cinnamon, black cherry, sweet vanilla, oak, and floral notes, with a long velvety finish. This versatile wine pairs well with lamb, chicken, veal, salmon and light pasta dishes.
