This attractive, open-knit Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits a dark ruby/purple color, a forward, pleasant bouquet of cedar wood, black currants, cherries, and earth, supple tannin, and a savory, medium-bodied, well-balanced personality. Its up-front charm and forward fruit suggest consumption over the next 7ndash;10 years is warranted.
Smooth, ripe and plush, with excellent balance to the cdeary currant, anise and nutmeg scents. Firm and concentrated, with ripe, integrated tannins that will benefit from short-term cellaring. Best from 2007 through 2013.
Smooth and generous on a light frame on a light frame, this is a warm plum-pudding of wine, its red fruit held to the flavor respects by supple, sunny tannins. Decant it for the end of the meal, and serve with a ripe blue cheese.
Rich Napa Cab. Intense and spicy, a delightfully vibrant and complex wine with pure currant, black cherry and blackberry fruit thatrsquo;s enlivened by firm tannins and acidity. Best from 2003 through 2012.
Slim and attractive, this is a naked model of a Cabernet, all bones, but lovely, round bones, plumping with air toward a rounder, voluptuous red and black currant fruit. While it builds in richness, it holds to the elegance, the clean lines, the soft austerity. Decant a bottle now for roasted veal sausages, or put it away for a while and let the full roundness take hold.
Juicy mulberry flavors focus this cabernet on fruit. Itrsquo;s laden with that dark berry flavor, finishing clean with a dusting of tannin that doesnrsquo;t get in the way of the fruit. A straight forward, satisfying choice at a steakhouse, this may gain some complexity over the next few years.
